Reading the sidebar
The sidebar is your whole fleet in one column. A glance tells you who's busy, who's done and who's waiting on you.
What each agent is doing
Every agent has a row under its project, with an icon and a short line about what it's doing. These come straight from the agent itself, so they're always accurate.
| State | What it means | |
|---|---|---|
| ▶ | Working | Busy. The line shows what it's running right now, or how long it's been at it. |
| ▲ | Blocked | Needs your permission to run something. "needs: approval" |
| ✋ | Waiting | Asked you a question, or wants you to approve its plan. |
| ✓ | Done | Finished its turn. Time to look at what it did. |
| ◷ | In review | Its pull request is open. The line shows checks and reviews, like "#42 · 2 pending" or "#42 approved". |
| ● | Merged | Its pull request is merged. You can clean it up. |
| ☾ | Asleep | Put to sleep to save memory. It wakes up right where it left off. |
| ◌ | Stopped | Not running. Its conversation is saved, and opening it picks up again. |
Red means it's your turn. If nothing in the sidebar is red, every agent is either working or done.
A yellow "ctx" figure on a row means the agent is running low on context. A good moment to wrap up its task or start a fresh one.
Open an agent
- Click a row to open the agent in a new pane.
- ⌘-click to show it in the pane you're in instead.
- Drag a row onto the grid to put it exactly where you want.
- Right-click a row for everything else you can do with it.
Closing an agent's pane doesn't stop it. It keeps working and its row keeps updating.
Projects, PRs and Routines
The bar at the top of the sidebar switches between three lists:
- Projects ⌘1: your agents, by project. Click a project's name to fold it away.
- PRs ⌘2: your open, draft and recently closed pull requests, whichever agent made them.
- Routines ⌘3: agents that run on a schedule. More on these in Routines.
The footer
The row at the bottom of the sidebar has a few small helpers: whether GitHub is up to date, whether Flotilla is keeping your Mac awake, how much of your Claude plan's limits you've used, and a history of recent activity and errors. Hover over any of them for details.
